Boy Meets Girl - By: Sara Andrews

Boy moves to a new town. Girl sees Boy and his family, she becomes friends with his family. Everyone watches as the family as everyone becomes older. She realizes as they grow older, suddenly boy becomes different, girl takes note.

Yet does she nor he realize that one may like the other, soon he leaves for college, she soon realizes that she misses him more than he would ever know! She would love to tell him how she feels, but she is unsure. "How would he deal or how would he react?" She ponders to herself, "How do I tell him?"

She tells everyone at work about him and they ask her the same question, "Does he know?", "No" she says. They tell her to tell him, call him, or text him. She tells them "I can't, maybe he will reject me, like someone did before to me!" she thinks.

They tell her "It never hurts to ask.", "I'm just not right for him!" she says, "Just ASK!!!" they repeat to her. "Maybe I will, someday" she says.

"What will come of this? Will I regret this choice?" thinking about everything that may happen. He is so far away from home and she hasn't even gone to college for a whole year yet! Would he accept her? She hopes and prays that he would say "Great!!, I have wondered about me and you for awhile!"

This would bring her self-esteem up from 0 to 100! It makes everything better to hear someone say "I like you too! Just the way you are, despite what everyone else says!" Someday when I hear that all will be right in my world, she ponders.

Hopefully her dream will come true in the near future. She can't wait til school sends the students for the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. When that future becomes reality, the would get married and have a family. They will live on a farm with a beautiful house that wont have to worry about the building codes for the space between houses!

She will be waiting for that day...... She remembers from a song that someone once sang "There's a reason and a rhyme....."

I am going to Camp Shiloh for a helper in the Kitchen!!! 2nd year in a row! I am excited. I love to cook. Last year I went and had a great time. Lots of working out....went paddle boating with another helper in the kitchen all the way to the middle of the lake and back to shore, plenty of walking back and forth to the cabins to check on our campers and see how they liked camp, and back and forth to the kitchen and to chapel and back to my bed to sleep til the next morning....whew~~~~~!

Long Time, No Post!

It's been a long time since I have posted anything. Recently I went up to Breezy Point for our yearly vacation. This year we brought our boat up and did some fishing with out paying for a fishing launch. Saturday through Monday afternoon it was COLD and rainy. After Monday afternoon it was just right...getting up into the 70's to 80's from the 50's. It was perfect. I also went swimming by myself and did some laps in the pool until I was interrupted by a little boy. It was also different because Grandma wasn't there. I could have slept in her room but it only seemed better if I had my original bed. Jessica and Darren were not able to come along this year because of work and Jessica had her wisdom teeth pulled. She called us when she was finished and it didn't sound anything like her either!!!! Saturday we had to check out of Breezy Point before 10 am. So we had to get everything out of the condo and into the truck. Then we took the boat and went on our way to Mille Lacs lake. Went fishing there and caught 2 crappies and lost both anchors and my bobber and hook, and I got a GOOD sunburn! It still hurts but itches more!! We had spent the night in a hotel room and returned home Sunday afternoon. The bed in the room WAS HORRIBLE. The pillows were covered in a plastic cover and then a pillowcase, they were also flat as a board! Not cool at all! The beds were like sleeping on bricks. My back was a whole lot better at home and Breezy Point then at that hotel room. It was better last summer. I tossed and turned the whole night is what I was told. I woke up and most of my blankets were toward the end of the bed and almost on the floor. Other than the end of the week the stay was fun!

Bird Sitting

Lately I have been bird sitting for a possibly injured Cardinal. It is a really interesting thing to be doing because today...I was going to work and I got basically yelled at my the momma and daddy! I haven't had that experience yet! It's interesting to be yelled at by birds! But he is so cute. He is currently sitting in the bowl of bird feed. I brought him there by a stick, he got right up on the stick so his feet and legs aren't injured.

I was so nervous when I found out that I needed to order my pills.... so here is what happened: I went onto the website to order my pills and said when I needed to pick them up. I was sure that I would have to pay my mom back $122 and change...but then I found out that they were only get this $16.59!!!! What a relief to know that I didn't have to pay my mom back so much money that is a total PTL! I wasn't sure why they were only so much. I saw a plan on the receipt and knew that my health insurance wasn't activated yet due to other things are needed to confirm everything. So I looked it up and found a plan that takes of about 60% off of pills!!!!! PTL!!!

I had just received a phone call from Pastor Schofield (1/21/2009) and he had mentioned to my voice mail that Keith Whitehead passed away. Right now I know that Helen and the family could really use your prayers. If you read this please lift up a prayer for the family, also for the day of the funeral. I really know from being from a family that has lost a grandpa that it really hits harder the younger you are. I really feel for Helen and the family. Please Pray for her!

Tonight was the mystery event at Church and I brought my camera but never got any pictures! I am so sorry, but I have all of the information for you that went on.

In the Nursery we had a total of 4 workers: Me, Charise, Justus, and Mrs. Bidwell (Mrs. Yates' Mom) and 13 children! Wow what a task! There was a total of 43 people for the Adult Mystery Event! Wow that's alot of people. It all went really well!

I am going to publish a card for the family of Nancy Tonne... and I need your comments to say to the family. She passed away this past Saturday and I think some heart felt comments would help the family through the grieving process.

NANCY L. TONNE, 67, of Fairmont

Services for Nancy L. Tonne, 67, of Fairmont will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church in Granada with interment in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Nancy died on Saturday evening at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Nancy Lee Tonne (Theobald) was born on March 23, 1941, the daughter of Elmer and Grace (King) Theobald. She received her education in the Fairmont public schools. She was a lifelong resident of Fairmont. Nancy worked at various places including, Telex in Blue Earth, Aerospace in Fairmont, and at the Fairmont Salvation Army Thrift Store. Nancy enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing BINGO, watching the gameshow network, and driving around to see the fall colors. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Granada. Nancy is survived by 2 sons, Dennis Tonne and his wife, Lisa of Fairmont, Dale Tonne and his wife, Amy of Fairmont; Siblings, Jerry Theobald of Fairmont, Diane Olson and her husband, Butch of Fairmont, and Michael Theobald and his wife, Darcy of Good Thunder; Grandchildren, James, Luke, Amber, Anna, and Eli Tonne; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace.

Pillbury is Closing!

I was reading on the Pillsbury website that they will be closing on December 31, 2008! It's a very sad situation for those who go there and those with the ties to the school.

Special Announcement

The Pillsbury Baptist Bible College Board of Trustees has announced that the college will cease academic activities on December 31, 2008. National economic conditions combined with deficits caused by declining enrollment have exhausted Pillsbury’s financial reserves, leaving the college without funds to complete the school year.

Pillsbury is committed to help current students complete their educational goals. Several sister institutions are working with the college to facilitate the transfer of credits and academic programs for those who choose to transfer.

Pillsbury will invite college representatives from sister schools to the campus to inform students of the academic and financial assistance programs they are making available to Pillsbury students affected by the closure.

The Registrar’s Office and Financial Aid Office will assist current students transferring to other colleges. Transcripts and academic records will be maintained for perpetuity at a sister college. The campus will be sold and the proceeds used to meet obligations to creditors as well as assist faculty, staff and students with the transition.

It was so great to see everyone again. I don't have any pictures with Julia because I had no idea where she was at the time. Sorry Julia! I also wanted to see Macy but that didn't work out for either of us. Thanks for coming guys!

I went to the dr today and found out that I do have JME which is a version of epilepsy that you can grow into after puberty, and I have to take medication to control it! Please pray that I will be able to afford all of this treatments and medications. They are all very expensive!

Routine Traffic Stop

I am sitting here at home and all of a sudden I see flashing lights.
I look outside to see a routine traffic stop.
Then just by knowledge of watching "Cops" on tv growing up, the Policeman calls for backup.
Backup arrives and he literally gets out of the car and proceeds to walk to the stopped vehicle.
Unknowingly the backup officer didn't, I repeat, didn't put his car into park!
He got laughed at by a couple of people outside.

The only thing you could find in Fairmont, MN!

I never even got a bite, we were using icky leeches and terrible open faced poles. You can tell that I don't like those things. It was really fun. Except when there was a rain storm with LOTS and LOTS of lightning.

Mom's "Dinner" fish: Walleye! Her fish was 14 inches or so. A keeper!

Dad's fish: Walleye! His fish was 23 1/2 inches long. Too long to keep! If it was a 1/2 inch longer he could have kept it due to Mille Lacs Lake Laws.

This Walleye was the landmark of Garrison, Mn!

Grandma's Health

I don't know all of what you know, but last Wednesday morning about 1:30 AM, she had a slight heart attack. She was in the Fairmont Hospital for about 2 days and then they transferred her to St. Mary's in Rochester. On Saturday, they did a test to see if the heart had any blockage. Everything came out fine, no blockage. She had a MRI of the heart to see what caused the heart attack yesterday. She can come home soon as they find a place here in town to have her stay (like a care facility) until her strength comes back up. She is doing better with her flu, but now she just needs to rest and get her strength up so she can come back to church, she misses everyone dearly. Right now she just asks for prayer for her health and her strength.

Yesterday was Jessica Rabe's birthday and I was unable to see her on her birthday so I thought that I would write a post about her 1 day after her birthday. Jess, I hope your birthday was the best it could be! I thought about her all day yesterday when I was at work. I hate working on Sundays, let alone on a friends birthday! I hate when that happens. Pray for my Grandma Swenson

Recently on Sunday, she fell down at church in the auditorium. She was dizzy after the fall. She said that she was talking to people and was just standing too long! We as a family wants her to be safe and use a cane. We as a family also ask for prayer so she can heal up from anything that may be sore. Continued prayers always help. If you would like to send her a card, I am sure she wouldn't mind.

Now I wouldn't have known anything about her falling if no one had said anything. I am thankful that someone said something or I would feel very bad. When someone said "What Happened?" I looked all over for her and I couldn't find her, so I thought she was in the bathroom, but then someone said that it was Grandma, and I ran over to her (in heels) and went to her service.

I am so thankful for her to be around otherwise I wouldn't be able to make it to Church. Again, I would just like continued prayer for her.
